Academic Growth: Evidence of Impact in the Classroom

One of the most important ways we steward your generosity is by carefully tracking how our students are growing academically and using that information to better serve each child entrusted to us.

At Logos Academy Harrisburg, we use a standardized assessment designed to measure academic growth and achievement called the MAP Growth test.  We administer this test 3 times a year to understand where students are starting, measure progress over time, and tailor instruction and supports to meet individual needs. These assessments are paired with ongoing formal and informal classroom evaluations, giving our teachers a well-rounded picture of student learning and growth.

Our Beginning-of-Year MAP Growth results show encouraging progress.

MAP Growth results show Logos Academy Harrisburg students performing near national averages despite serving a predominantly low-income student population.

While these scores are slightly below national averages, they are especially meaningful when viewed in context. Approximately 75% of our students come from low-income households, yet they are performing within striking distance of national benchmarks. This reflects the dedication of our teachers, the effectiveness of targeted instruction and interventions, and the consistent support our students receive—academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Trimester 1 report cards further affirm this progress, showing steady growth across grade levels and highlighting students who are developing strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math.

This is what closing the achievement gap looks like step by step, child by child. Your partnership makes it possible for Logos Academy Harrisburg to provide the individualized education and Christ-centered care that helps our students thrive.

Thank you for being part of this important work.
