Logos Academy Harrisburg is looking for volunteers who share our passion for serving students in Harrisburg in a culturally diverse, Christ-centered, learning environment.
Volunteer Opportunities
All volunteers must complete the volunteer packet before volunteering with Logos Academy Harrisburg. Please submit the completed packet to [email protected].
Lunch and Recess Duty
Volunteers assist staff in monitoring students during recess and lunch. Students are escorted to a nearby playground for recess, and lunch is provided by Harrisburg School District Food Services and distributed by our staff. Volunteers are needed daily from 12–1 p.m. and are welcome to help one or multiple days a week. PA criminal background checks and child abuse history clearances are required.
Classroom Assistant
Classroom volunteers are needed to support students and help maintain a positive learning environment alongside the teaching staff. We welcome volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule. While early education experience is ideal, it is not required. PA criminal background checks and child abuse history clearances are required.
Provide Healthy Snacks and Supplies
Our school relies on donations to provide students with healthy snacks throughout the day, along with paper products and various school supplies. We especially welcome snack donations like pretzels, Goldfish, and animal crackers. Would you be able to help support this need?
Provide Christmas baskets
Each year, we send our students home for Christmas break with baskets filled with small gifts and treats. We’re looking for partners to help provide these baskets. Would you be able to donate baskets or small gifts?
Donate a Uniform
Students at Logos Academy Harrisburg wear uniforms consisting of a navy, grey, or white polo paired with khaki or navy pants, shorts, skorts, or jumpers. Uniforms do not need to be logoed or a specific brand, making them as affordable and convenient as possible for our families. Would you consider donating a uniform to support a student in need?
SPREAD THE WORD
One of the best ways to connect new partners with Logos Academy Harrisburg is through a school visit. While classroom entry is restricted, walking through the hallways and peeking into classrooms still offers a great glimpse of our learning environment.
