The person in this position will be responsible for planning and delivering grade-level instruction aligned with the Danielson Framework for Teaching and the school’s SEAD-Focused approach to education, which emphasizes students’ social, emotional, academic, and discipleship growth. Responsibilities include designing and implementing lesson plans and assessments that align with the curricular scope and sequence while meeting the needs of diverse learners through thoughtful planning and differentiation. The ideal candidate will foster a structured, positive classroom environment by explicitly teaching behavioral expectations and utilizing trauma-informed and PBIS-aligned practices. Strong partnerships with parents are essential, including regular communication regarding student progress and classroom activities. Ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues are vital parts of this role.
