A gift that opened doors: EITC Impact

This year, Logos Academy Harrisburg received an extraordinary blessing. An anonymous donor entrusted us with a $1,000,000 EITC gift that was required to be distributed during the 2025–2026 school year to fulfill student scholarships.

Through this gift, we first provided $457,955 in tuition assistance to Logos students, ensuring that every qualifying family received the support they needed.

Even after fully funding scholarships for our own students, a significant portion of the gift remained. Logos partnered with 15 private schools across Central Pennsylvania to extend the impact of this remarkable generosity.

Together, we helped provide scholarship support to 231 students from 126 families across seven counties, opening doors to educational opportunities that may not otherwise have been possible. Among the students served, 53% come from low-income households, while nearly 8 in 10 come from families experiencing significant financial hardship.

What began as one anonymous act of generosity became a shared investment in hundreds of children and families throughout our region.

While this gift transformed the 2025–2026 school year, it also created something equally important: the opportunity to plan ahead.

Investing in the Future

While the $1,000,000 gift transformed the 2025–2026 school year, the future of our tuition assistance program depends on the continued generosity of our EITC supporters.

This year, 31 individuals and businesses contributed an additional $314,139 through the EITC program. Because these funds can roll over into future years, every dollar has already been designated for student scholarships for the 2026–2027 school year.

For many years, scholarship fundraising required us to react to immediate needs. Thanks to this year’s extraordinary gift and the faithful partnership of our EITC donors, we can now plan proactively for the future.

To our anonymous donor and the 31 businesses and individuals who participated in EITC this year:

Thank you for opening doors for students today and helping ensure that future generations of Logos families have access to a Christ-centered education!
