Meet Lauren!

Welcome, Lauren Bonnema! Lauren joined our team this January as our donor relations specialist. Her job is to support you–our valued partners–in providing this life-changing education for elementary school students in Harrisburg. Her role is essential because we recognize that you are more than “donors to a cause.” You are investors in the lives of young students. And as investors, you should be kept informed about the return on your investment. Lauren will keep you updated with what you are accomplishing as a partner in our mission.

Lauren graduated from Covenant College in 2007 with a BA in Education. She worked for six years as a middle-school teacher in Charlotte, NC, where she met her husband Brett, who is also an educator. Lauren and Brett have three children, ages 10, 9, and 7. They moved to Harrisburg last June after spending six years living overseas outside Jakarta, Indonesia, where Brett served as Head of School for an international Christian school. Lauren has worked with various age groups in school settings and also worked in church ministries. Her time overseas was particularly meaningful in showing her how God is at work across all cultures. She has a passion for sharing the mission and vision of Logos Academy Harrisburg and is excited to join our team.
